Publications & Policies | Pro Bono Initiatives

As a centennial legacy to all Albertans, the Law Society of Alberta created Pro Bono Law Alberta. In 2007, the Law Society of Alberta celebrated its 100th anniversary and the legacy of this important milestone is a network today which advocates pro bono partnerships and projects.

Pro Bono Law Alberta (PBLA) is a charitable organization which promotes access to justice in Alberta by creating and promoting opportunities for lawyers to provide pro bono (free) legal services to persons of limited means. The network arranges partnerships between non-profit organizations and lawyers to deliver services that provide a wide range of legal services.
