Equality, Equity and Diversity Committee

A policy-oriented committee that looks for means to improve the goals of equality, equity and diversity in the legal profession. Over the last year the committee has participated in a major survey and a series of focus groups relating to equality issues, and in the coming year it will examine the results and make recommendations arising from them. The committee is also in the process of reviewing and adding to the set of model policies that it has developed for law firms, dealing with matters such as respectful workplaces, parental and other forms of employment leave and alternative work schedules.
